Youtube Videos of the Week and Status Update


For the past week we’ve been really busy working on 1.11.

One big change ahead is that “orphaned” particles - individual particles that break off the ship structure - are now never lost, while in previous versions they used to disappear from the game. The end result is that there is a lot of more debris when you reduce a ship to smithereens! Floating debris, sinking debris, and debris zipping through the air - you name it. For comparison, here’s a close encounter between the Britannic and a sea mount in 1.10:

But this won’t be the only new feature in 1.11; we are working on many more new things, and we’ll post about them as they come. It’ll take a few more weeks to release, so please be patient, 1.11 will come out and it will be when it’ll be packed with new things.
