I don't think there is a reason not to like him-
Just a chill guy who somehow knows a lot about the player's actions (prob in a similar way as Flowey) and has some of the most touching lines in the game.
The bit that stuck with me was the pacifist ending and Asriel was giving his whole speech, then was hugged. JUST TUGGED ON THE HEART STRINGS, THERE!
