Had just finished the demo, so here's my thoughts:
I really love the pixel art! Sonic is animated nicely, even if some specific sprites weren't changed and still uses Mania's sprites. Additionally, Splash Hill has seen a great visual upgrade, the forest background especially.
Small nitpick, but the splash screen with the furries and such take way too long to end and also just looks weird. Would recommend making that shorter.
One thing I hated is the boss. Very frustrating boss that lasts way too long. It's the first boss and it's already being way too flashy and hard with its what, 3 phase fight? Last phase being particularly annoying cause you don't get any rings anymore if you lose them all. Also, of course, you're placed over a bottomless pit. Kinda bad design considering the homing attack here has huge knockback, for some reason.
Overall, I see promise with this. Just really need to fix its shortcomings first.
Hey, I checked this game out. I wanna say that I adore all of the details and extras you have put into the game so far. I love that you even added the option to add the camera zoom for the waiting animation! I do have a couple of criticisms.
I think the newtron enemys energy ball goes too fast.
I feel like one of the areas near the start needs a small touch up in terms of collision. Im talking about one of the first areas on the bottom path. The game looks and plays really polished. I cant wait to see what you have in store!

EXPLAINING TIME
1: If I jump on the pad, Sonic will go in the loop
2: If I press z in that area on the ground right as the bots cannon fires as super, well, you will see.
