Eurovision is a huge music competition that spans through most of europe and australia

The current edition is the 69th esc hosted in basel switzerland🇨🇭

How does it work?

There are 2 semi finals. Where 10 conturies qualify from each semi to the grand final

Except the big 5 (France. Spain. Italy. Germany. Uk) And also the previous winner (host)

In this case switzerland automaticly qualify and dont need to go through semi finals

Why does australia participate in eurovision?

When the competition was hosted in vienna 2015 (when sweden won wohoo!)

Austrian brodcaster ORF decided to permit an Australian entry to commemorate the 60th contest
