MikuMikuDance (MMD) is a freeware animation program that lets users animate and create 3D animated movies for Hatsune Miku, the first member of the Character Vocal series. it was created by Yu Higuchi and part of the Vocaloid Promotion Video Project (VPVP). You should use for MMD only in the first place for now!

MikuMikuEffect (MME) is a plugin for MMD that allows users create and add their own effects. You can also another for creating effects is called Render Monkey. Remember in the document, MMD is short for MikuMikuDance and MME is short for MikuMikuEffect. Have fun with MMD!
