The preseason AP Poll has been released. The ranks of the following teams will be their ranks heading into the first week of the season.
Former Brigham Young QB Jake Retzlaff transfers to Tulane. Retzlaff led BYU to an 11-2 record in 2024 and finished ranked at 17th. He also led them to an Alamo Bowl win over 23rd Colorado, winning 36-14.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is adding a “Delay of game - defense” penalty. If a defensive lineman shifts before the snap, and causes an offensive lineman to jump, it is a defensive penalty of 5 yards.
John Brenkus, a former host of the ESPN show “Sports Science”, passed away on May 31st at the age of 54 from suicide. Rest in peace.
