Overview:

Welcome to the Sonic Mania Addendum, an extensive complete game edition + expansion for Sonic Mania Plus!

The Addendum adds some completely new features to Mania, such as:

Amy Extra Space - Adds Amy Rose as her own character, meaning there are now 6 playable characters! She remains largely the same as the previous standalone mod, with additional control updates, such as right-clicking the Hammer Jump, to make movement easier for controller players.

Time Stones - Adds the Time Stones from Sonic CD as a separate set of collectibles, allowing you to complete 14 Special Stages in a single run to obtain both sets of gems. Collecting all the Time Stones grants some passive benefits, such as extending the duration of invincibility and speed boots, weakening (most) bosses, and...

Miraculous Forms - Collecting all the Time Stones allows the player to upgrade their Super form to a Miraculous form, granting benefits such as an additional increase in speed and jump height and a new sprite set for each character.

Adeno focuses primarily on reworking some core game concepts, such as cooperative multiplayer, interaction physics, and shield interactions, as well as adding a wealth of quality-of-life features to the game. Some of the most notable changes include:

Act Selection - Revises Data Selection to allow save files to save the current act, removing the hassle of having to restart an entire zone if quitting the game during Act 2. Original save files can select between acts introduced Z (keyboard) or Select (controller)

Co-op Plus - Overhauls Mania multiplayer mode, enhancing the P2 experience, such as giving P1 and P2 a power-up when breaking an item monitor, allowing P2 to break item monitors (only if controlled by a player; AI P2 cannot break item monitors), and having P2 transform into a Super/Miracle form along with P1.

Unrestricted Unlocks - Removes the medallion requirement for all Secrets menu unlocks, allowing even the most recent save files to access all Secrets menu unlocks.

Power-up Display - Added a new HUD element that tracks the P1's current power-ups, as well as flashing indicators if a Super/Miracle form, invincibility, or speed shoes are about to run out.

Flight Recurve - Allows Tails to cancel his flight by pressing Down + Jump.

Player Palette Reworks - Reworks to almost all player palettes, mainly to fix some questionable underwater palette choices (e.g. Tails and Knuckles' Super CPZ palettes) and to make all underwater player palettes realistically comparable to each other.

Player Sprite Tweaks - Added extensive edits to all character sprites to fix some vanilla palette issues with the Super forms (most notable being Tails' shoes, Knuckles' skin, and Mighty's skin/legs)

Shield Economy - Allows players to maintain their shields between zones, rather than just between acts.

Super Run (Competition) - Adds a new game rule to Competition Mode, allowing players to start the stage in their Super or Miracle form, with 55 rings to offset the Announcer's countdown.

1-up Music Removal - Remove the 1-up music from playing when getting an extra life, opting for a shorter sound effect so as not to interrupt the level music or invincibility/speed shoes music.

Knuckles Moveset Improvements - Modifies Knuckles' moveset to allow him to spindash immediately after a fall/slide when holding, as well as allowing Knuckles to curve back into a spinball when pressing Down + Jump during a fall/slide.

Air Curl - Allows all players to press Down + Jump while in the air and not in a spinning ball to return to the jumping state, to better avoid situations where the player would fall onto an enemy and lose their shield/rings.

Finally, the Addendum fixes some bugs/discoveries from the vanilla game, such as:

"Instant Mach" Bind Removal - Removes the player's ability to instantly gain a Mach level by pressing the Y key in Special Stages.

Peelout Transfer Removal - Fixes a discovery in the character switching code that previously allowed other characters to use Super Peel-out when enabling the Peel-out Medallion mod and breaking a character switching monitor as Sonic.

LRZ3 Encore Master Emerald Fix - Fixes a discovery in the Encore palette system that turns the Master Emerald purple in Encore Mode.

Death Egg Robot Chassis Cutscene Fix - Implements a code fix for the Death Egg Robot's underside turning orange instead of black in the GHZ2 ending cutscene.

Mighty MBM Sprite Fix - Completely reworks Mighty's Puyo-Puyo animations to actually use his palette, as well as not being a redesign of MBM's Sonic.

Super Form Black Palette Fix - Modifies each character's "blend Super Palette" function to fix an issue where the color adjacent to a character's palette turned black, causing issues like the infamous Power Black Skin bug.

Spindash Moonwalk Fix - Adds a spindash state selection to prevent an issue where spindashing when touching the left side of a solid object and holding left click would cause the player to move backwards while in the spindash state.

MBM Sprite Mirroring Fix - Implements a code fix for a minor visual bug where after the MBM character intro animation plays, the character goes from looking up and to the right to immediately looking up and to the left.

LRZ3 Heavy King Hitbox Fix - Adjusts the Heavy King's hitbox values ​​to fix a bug where the Heavy King's hitbox was upside down and only 4 pixels tall.

Mach Up Power-up Rework - We've adjusted the functionality of the Mach Up power-up in Special Stages to a full Mach meter instead of just manually setting the Mach speed to the next level and resetting the orb count. This avoids the issue of Mach Ups becoming less effective the higher the Mach meter gets.
