You know, for something made in 19 hours, it really isn't bad.
The ship you control felt a little slow and sluggish in my opinion, and the sounds could use some work.
Other than that, it was actually pretty neat for something made in such a time span.
What happens when you make a game in 19 hours, with little public experience in game development? This baby!
I am Squidsheep, ameture game developer and general idiot. This is
Blue 15, a game made in 19 hours.
The story behind the project
or some crap like that
So one day, I was sitting at my desk, binging youtube videos, and over eating digestives (Aldi's own brand, not that McVitie's crap). While browsing, I stumbled across a couple videos by 2kliksphillip.
At that time, I proclaimed myself to be a developer, I would often act like one, and waltz into game dev forums like I twas a vetran.
The videos I found were on his game making journey (link here it's a good watch) these videos made me realise, I wasn't a game dev, not yet.
To be fair, I'd made a couple games, I'd even been working on a full game with a team (link here if you wanna have a gander at the progress.), but I had never gone through the full process of game development (prototype, alpha, beta, release), so I decided I should make a small game, giving me time to speed through the process.
And so, Blue 15 was born.
After an hour of development, I had this beauty.
Yeah, not amazing, but it was a start.
Hour after hour my game grew, and after 9 hours I had completed alpha!
It was starting to form, it was growing.
After 19 hours, I had done it, I'd finished the beta. The game was complete.
Then, I started working on the marketing, a quick trailer, and started making a GameJolt page, it looked somthing like thi...
Wait, no. Too meta. Guess I should stop now.
So er, play the game I guess...
