What do you think?

I like this design! The gameplay definitely has a unique feel to it, and the simple arrow key controls are nicely integrated into the environment with context-sensitive icons. It's a really interesting idea to have a limit of 3 bullets and need to scavenge your spent rounds in order to continue attacking.

The asteroids alone are enough of a challenge, but the tension really increases when more and more aliens start to arrive. It's got some nice little touches of polish, too, like having the rotation speed of the asteroids on the main menu reflect your game speed setting. Very well designed!

Esta weno.

Very original! I like it a lot.

Note

  • If game volume cannot be heard press the game window. This should fix volume issues.

  • Also, I found a few bugs in the game, and I will be sure to fix them all after voting is over. If you encounter any sorry about that. The main ones deal with a boss, some enemies collisions, and AI errors.

ABOUT

After the little alien has landed onto a brand-new planet it had been discovered that the UFO was now nonoperational. Shortly there after the little alien found out that the new planet's gravitational pull had been pulling asteroids and other hazardous objects towards its UFO. Luckily the UFO's cannon was still  functional but with only a small amount of ammo left how long can the little alien last?

This was my first ever game jam as well as my first ever finished game I had decided to post to the world. After just recently getting into game development and learning other engines I found this jam, and it sounded like a lot of fun. Although I had to learn how to use Game Maker Studio 2 I had a lot of fun, and it was cool seeing ever ones amazing entries. So overall there might be some bugs. I hope everyone who plays my game enjoys it and I will try to keep adding more to this game until the jam ends.

Have Fun

I guess my HTML5 license for Game Maker Studio ran out so my next update after the jam will be the final update. As I will be unable to fix any further bugs or add any future content. All the next update will bring is a few scoring changes and bug fixes.

I found a few bugs in Impact Zone, but the jam is now over. They can effect a boss and enemies and because the jam is over I'm not sure if I can upload the fix until voting is over as to keep my game valid. So I'm going to fix them after the jam. Sorry

The Opera game jam was a lot of fun. During it, I learned a lot as well as saw a bunch of interesting, fun, and cool games. Thanks to all that made this possible. Have a good one!

Version 3.0 is now out meaning the game Impact Zone is finally complete. I added some new enemies as well as a boss and a few secrets. The Game may have a few bugs that I haven't found but if I find any I'll try to fix them before the deadline.

Just added a new update called a Bunch of Bugs. It adds a bunch of new enemy types as well as a new event. I play to make one more major update to finish off the game.
