The story takes place after Dream Drop Distance.
Yensid, worried about the upcoming Keyblade War, calls upon two beings who may be able to wield the Keyblade and wear the Mastery symbol.
He sends Mickey to a world, that of Kiryoku and Kioku the "City of Memories".
Convinced by Mickey's words, they will follow him to Master Yensid's tower.
He will offer them to take the Mastery Symbol exam, to make them master of the Keyblade so that they can triumph over the darkness.
Throughout the adventure, they will meet characters from the worlds of Square Enix and Disney.
Being fake Keyblade wielders, their example will be much more different from Sora and Riku's.

Combat in Kingdom Hearts Rebirth takes place in real-time.
You can move from left to right using the dedicated keys.
The up and down keys are used to navigate the controls.
Attacks are done with the C or space key, while commands are used with the X key. To return to the initial commands, press W.

You'll also have the option to ask for help from the characters you're connected with.
Press the Q key. Calling an ally for help will consume their energy meter.

You will then have to wait until you have completed at least 2 segments to call on your ally.

At some point in the game, an ally may be fighting directly with you.

The story of Kingdom Hearts Rebirth is presented in two parts.

The story takes place a few days after Kioku and Kiryoku's "Symbol of Mastery" exam.

Kioku's task will be to use his new Keyblade to close the locks and investigate
who is responsible for these events.

Torn between the duty to defend the worlds and the desire to save his friend, will Kioku be able to face
up to his responsibilities?

Kioku is the main character of Kingdom Hearts Rebirth 2
At 16 years old, he is naturally calm and thoughtful, which is what allows him to get out of the most perilous situations.

The side quests will be many and varied, they will allow you to earn different loot.
You will sometimes be forced to fight against heartless people, defeat them to make Kioku stronger.
The combat systems have been totally revised, very dynamic, you are now free to customize your commands or actions.
