What do you think?

First I will say the story and graphics so far are fantastic and compelling there is a lot of potential to expand on here, I like the new items and find them neat if nothing else.

However there are a few issues I have that could be improved upon. Mostly related to your intent for this to be a Lisa game Deltarune fans can play.

1: Limited resources.

This is not per say bad but it may be a turn off to Deltarune fans, especially with how limited combat is in the demo making many fights mostly luck based. This is particularly bad with the fight against the Joy Boy, whom is way to powerful for Spamton alone that early on.

This may not be a deal breaker for some, but could limit your audience. If nothing else the Joy Boy needs to be nerfed.

2: No status effects manual.

If a Deltarune fan plays it they will be totally lost on all status effects. That's... really bad. When I first played Lisa it took time to understand status effects and how to best use them, and that was with them explained, not having that could be a major issue.

3: I think the TV fight is bugged.

He at least seems very luck based. with my attacks missing a LOT, a +dangerous attack that is just a slightly stronger bite (+geared up feels more apt for that imo), and sometimes he will never attack at all save for when +dangerous but in other attempts he did.

4: The location of the worms can be a little unclear.

Some players won't think to revisit random one off npcs to get worms, it in fact took me a minute to do so, and I am someone who plays a LOT of RPGS. More casual fans may get stuck here.

In spite of these issues you have crafted a very enjoyable and well made demo I look forward to seeing more of.

However I would like to ask if I could use Spamton for mods, as I may want him to be a party member in Lisa the Nonsensical 2.

I respect if you prefer I do not do so.

Also I never did get your opinion on Hintlord Plays Rough.

Honestly, really spectacular! I was just expecting a Spamton reskin over some other Lisa game, but it blew me away with something complete unique! Really good looking sprites, well written characters, and a story that i can't wait to see more of!

I finished the demo, and wow, I really, really love it! Plus, I get the added bonus of being totally blind on LISA stuff, so I can enjoy everything from a Spamton-influenced perspective. Spamton's written really well---he's not woobifiied, but the funny, despicable little salesman we all know and love. The allusions to his history sprinkled throughout hint towards some really amazing depth to the story later on, so I have high hopes. Keep it up, Moro!

I'm compiling any typos or other errors I can find in the text in this thread. To start with: Terry's first line after beating the Maus is "Wow! You sure taught that... Thing." "Thing" should be in lowercase.

Version 0.1.1 is live. Not a lot added as I am engaged with a larger, original project you might have seen before. This should fix purgatory's combat and platforming flow, though. Added 1 new fun boss as well.

A new skill has been added to Spamton's early-game that should help break up the monotony of Purgatory fights... In addition, a special superboss has been added to the region. All of your skills will be needed to defeat Rot... Or maybe you'll get lucky?

After much helpful feedback, I've been working to improve the game experience for new players:
-Implemented "easy mode" version of the Dermott fight for players without bottles
-Implemented 2 new hint posters
-Working on status effect guides

If I upload a package, I expect it to be playable straight away. Oh well. The game is now playable.
