This is a fantastic intepretation of Battle Royale and it's a fun game! Well done! (I suck at Simon)

This was really really good! Would love to see a full game with more puzzles!

In the deep, dark corners of the internet lives a show that puts contestants in a battle of last one standing. Do you have what it takes to make it out alive?

Gameplay:

Solve puzzles to make it past each floor alive with new mechanics and challenges every time. The Goal? Make it through each floor without dying and the last contestant alive "wins!"

Developer Notes:

This was made during & for the #dreamhackatlantajam

The Theme for this jam was 'Single Player Battle Royal' but we didn't want to just make another PUBG/Fortnite style game so after thinking about it for awhile we came up with an idea that used the core ideas of what a Battle Royal is while not just using the obvious meaning.
The Idea was for an escape room style game where instead of directly fighting your opponents it's more about being the last survivor of the deadly puzzles.
The parts we are using from Battle Royal are

  • 1: Last one standing.

  • 2: Its fit for 'royalty' to watch.

After fixing the walking animation this morning I have spent the rest of the day working on levels, sound, mechanics. I need to consult my co-dev about some things, I'll share something more interesting tomorrow.

I decided this morning it would be best to restart on the character, and I got it this time, The animations need some tuning but its in UE4 and working! I ended up wasting a day for this but in the end I should still be okay on time.

Well.... Progress with the character has been both good and bad, My plan was to have the character finished today but I'm having trouble with the rigging, plus I still need to UV & Animate.
I'll figure something out tomorrow.

Got the Lighting, It's not perfect but it will do for this.

I have also been working on the player model, I still need to model the Hands & Face but the general shape is there. I'll finish that tomorrow, then make UVs, Textures, & animate.

I have been worked on figuring out lighting but ended up running into a lot of problems, but I have an idea for tomorrow so I should be able to get something for that figured out, then I'll probably either work on UI or the Character next
