WARNING! SPOILER! READ THIS AFTER YOU REACHED THE TRUE ENDING!
WHAT A GREAT IDEA! At first, I was confused that the characters personality changed according to my choices. But when I reached the true ending, I understood what were going on. I want to applause the great idea behind Lily's Day Off! Each time that you read this visual novel again, it is actually a time loop caused by the time machine which alterates personalities and memories for each loop. It is not like an usual VN where your choices modify the story but not the characters and each time that you read it again, you just discover a new perspective of the same story. In this VN, each time that you read it, it is actually a loop of the same day caused by the time machine which alterates personalities and create a totaly new story. But for understanding this, you must reach the true ending. Amazing! But I have to say that the true ending is not my favorite. I would have prefered that Lily and I were childhood friends instead of brother-sister and become a couple.
Lily's Day Off is a visual novel. However, this is not your typical visual novel where each route gives you new information on solid character personalities. As you progress in this game, your actions drastically change the characters, experiences, and outcomes.
There are 16 endings in total, each with a completely different theme. (Some of the endings can be sort of morbid, but nothing graphic.)
