Why is a simple ass spin dash so hard to code

It shouldnt be as difficult as it is and its pissing me off so I went to bed

I've fixed the issue, now I gotta fix another issue

(but so far I think I'm doing really good with the mechanics for Sonic)

it did not fix the issue

I'm gonna genuinly start tweaking

I'm trying to make the "Spindash" animation play when the "Down Arrow" key is pressed, and it'll just play for a frame instead of pausing the animation

(I think I just figured out the issue as I typed this)

If there are things you would like to see in Malice Please tell me, I'll try and get them done if possible!

The only exception will be adding/removing characters cause Im trying to figure out a list as is anyway
