​Ao Oni falls within the tradition of Japanese horror RPGs with a heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and jump scares. "Ao Oni: MV" is a modern remake of the classic Japanese survival horror game. Reimagined using RPG Maker MV, this version retains the spine-chilling essence of the original while introducing enhanced gameplay, updated graphics, and a deeper narrative. Players join a group of high school friends as they explore a haunted mansion rumored to have a monster and face the terrifying Ao Oni.

Hi, I'm Hoodie. I am one of the original developers of Ao Oni version 7, which later became Ao Oni+. This project aims to solidify the canon and update the gameplay significantly. Through numerous rewrites, production resets, startovers, and hiccups along the way, I am proud to present Ao Oni MV. A lot is subject to change before release, but my commitment to capturing the essence of the original while enhancing it for a modern audience remains iron.
