Cool concept. I love the paddle control. Once I figured out you could make it bigger using the little asteroids it made the game a lot cooler. I thought it was a much better shield mechanic than Asteroids Deluxe's.
On the negative side...
-The sound fx are GRATING. More so than Pong.
-I'm not keen on how forward makes you move constantly until you turn off your thrusters with down. It's very hard to control; the Asteroids way would be better in my opinion.
-Gameplay gets repetitive quick. Asteroids was able to break up the monotony by introducing more and more flying saucers.
Either way, nice one.
A combination of pong and asteroid. Its my entry for the miniLD some time ago but I didn't publish it. If the game doesn't start, try refreshing the browser.
