Well, being in beta I think a few things you're aware of but i'll pass on a few. Many of these might be impossible due to the engine and a small developer but here you go. Physics: Little more realism and car damage, a HUGE undertaking. Make it feel faster. Effects from damage like flat tires, smoke from engine and have that affect the cars handling. Graphics are a nice start. A driver in the car would be a big deal. Maybe even a first and\or third person camera view and again seeing damage to the car when you crash. That's a start to the things I noticed that could put the game over the top! There's just so much potential here. Looking forward to trying the next version.
I've beta tested for over 20 years so while I have about 20 suggestions I will stick to my observations understanding that many of my suggestions are probably on the table already. It's borderline alpha instead of beta at this stage IMHO. The game lacks the "feel" of the speed it says. Most of the game feels like a 30-45 MPH race. The physics are OK for a start but have a long way to go. Currently it's still very arcade like. Car damage could go a long way here as the races are so far pretty easy. In other words a damaged car would make the race more challenging. That said the game runs very smoothly, even in a virtual machine and you can see the massive potential here. You still get 5 stars from me for a great start and I even felt it was good enough to share with our readers at http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/traffic_race_3d_2.html
