However despite these minor issues I think it was a great game 4/5 good job

At the start the game didn't explain to much on what to do, a guide would be helpful it took a while for me to work things out myself. The layout was wonderful and graphics really suited the game. However I think there should be more things the player could do other then having a team attack for them. I'm sure a lot more people would play if it was more hands on

Hey, you know what, I really didn't expect the gameplay to be so addictive, great work! I feel like playing Protoss Death Ball in Starcraft 2, but it's about total different strategies and controls.
I think this is a very successful prototype, all you need is more contents (like medic, advanced AI, other stuff) to enrich the strategies.

Command your armed forces to victory on the battlefield in this epic real time strategy game! Defeat all your enemies' armies and capture all the bases. Don't spread out too much and weaken your defenses - you and your armies will be destroyed! History will be decided by your strategic brilliance - or incompetence. Will your armies survive or be obliterated into the ash heap of history? Good luck commander!

I created this simple fun little strategic military simulation using some advanced optimizations I learned in my CS 134 Game Engines class.

Optimizations include:

  1. Grid-based and bucket optimizations for collision detection, enemy detection, base capture detection, nearest instance finding.

  2. Slowing the update rate for the AI such that each frame of the simulation only one AI unit's "thinking" code is being executed at a time. The result of this is the simulation can have many more AI units simultaneously without any noticeable drop in simulation performance. (I've had up to 400 units in the screen simultaneously and it was still running at 80 fps)

  3. Grid based drawing optimizations - only objects in grid coordinates that are on-screen are drawn.
