What do you think?

all in all this game is just okay if not slightly below average

the first half of it is literally just standard undertale with seemingly no changes at first until you get to the sans fight, but even then its just the normal sans fight with remixed attacks. i think it would be beneficial to have the intro that plays before phase 3 be the actual intro at the start of the game, so it'll cause less confusion to players.

the fights themselves are good, i'd say slightly better than the original last breath. however phase 1 is so basic (again it's literally the basic sans fight with like 2 changes) and the fact that phase 3 gives you no heals makes for a more tedious and unforgiving experience. phase 2 and the asgore fight are good aside from some dialogue that feels out of place.

last thing i really have to mention is that this game is VERY poorly optimized. i played it myself, and it chugged so hard and many of others have told me the same thing. i've read some other comments here and you don't really seem to care about it, which makes me feel a bit sad that you worked hard on this game for years and some people simply just cannot have an enjoyable experience playing it due to the lag.

it's a very solid take on last breath that definitely exceeds the original, but it has some setbacks that hold it back from really being any "good".

4.5/10

toothless sans

Posting here to make it more official instead of in a devlog:

Alright so here's my full review of the game:

Intro: loved the custom Windows PC, like its launching the OG game and seeing something new! Kind of expected the PC to be used as an area of attack where sans would destroy your pc but this is cool nonetheless.

Intro Part 1: A Faithful recreation, practically the original I believe.

Awesome Logo Reveal and OW up until Sans Fight. Loved the canonical flowey style.

Phase 1:

Now this is what I am talking about!

The Canon design, mixed with a few new touches and ideas rather than just adding orange bones. THIS IS PERFECT. Loved the fakeout with sleeping for the final attack, and the fleeing portion is a very smart idea as well! (No clue it was a bug. But still really cool)

Phase 2:

Now this is a huge difficulty boost from Phase 1. First, the idea of no checkpoints is great. After all, it's supposed to be a mod where you actually have a bad time, not just cruise by each checkpoint 1 by 1. But the designs, the animations, the dialogue, and style, all seems like as if Toby Fox made last breath. Good job!

(Also, No-healing items that carry on is also smart.)

Intro Part 2: A Much better ULB Intro than the OG.

Phase 3:

Classic recreation with some amazing twists! Loved the idea of having more interaction with Gaster and HIS FOLLOWERS!

This was awesome.

Chapter 2:

Won't spoil, but I can say it was fresh and unique, for a fight you don't see very often.

Good game, good fight, could argue about soul being faster, but this. This was amazing from start to finish.

93/100 for me!
