What do you think?

Aw darn! I was so hyped to see a new game cause I adored the others I've seen and played so much! Hope you get back to game making soon . I love your work so much!!

this is so cute!! a little sad it will never be made into a full game but still a great experience!

I saw your post on tumblr and had to check this out! It's sad that you're discontinuing it but also completely understandable.

Honestly even this small demo is amazing!!! It's clear that you put a lot of time and passion into this project. Interacting with the characters was a lot of fun and I was grinning throughout the whole thing.

I could have easily seen myself spending hours playing the final version both for the replay-ability of the game itself and just admiring your amazing art work. I mean even for this one small section there's SO MUCH to see and so much attention to detail.

So really all I can say is THANK YOU for sharing this with us!! (And also those skeletons look AMAZING in uniform!!)

NO LONGER IN ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT. AVAILABLE GAME IS EARLY BETA AT BEST AND INCLUDES INTRO & 'FIRST DAY' ENVIRONMENT ONLY.

This game is on permanent hiatus; the playable build is just to be able to experience the intro and explore the main location. Most NPCs, once out of the first cutscene, do not have dialogue, or only have limited dialogue. No paths are completed.

Again, the browser-playable build is a beta build at the most (and some talk sprites may need a moment to load the first time they appear). Once you're able to walk around freely as the player, feel free to explore! Some of the characters can be interacted with briefly, but not all. You can explore the environment- and the back areas can all be examined with [Enter] to see description dialogue - many have multiple observations to be made at the same spot!

There is no official end to this beta; nothing will tell you to stop playing, nor will any event occur. Simply poke around and see the environment, and stop playing whenever you'd like. Thanks for even taking a look, if you do! Hope getting to see the foundation is cool, if nothing else.

Thank you to everyone who showed interest in this project over the years! I've grown a lot with the work I put into the several version I had of this project before getting to this point, and I hope to be able to create more fun things to play in the future, including a finished dating sim.

Any comments about what you liked in this limited sight into the project would absolutely be fuel for me to eventually return to game dev. <3

You Might Have A Type is a sidescrolling, semi-RPG style format dating sim for several AU versions of Undertale's Sans. You'd get the chance to interact with fan favorites, as well as extra NPCs, and versions from the 'main four' AUs (original Undertale FlavorTM, Underswap, Underfell, and my interpretation of Swapfell), and could either angle for friendship with the guys or end up getting to date them!

Due to the time sink and backend issues (including getting myself in a bit too deep for a one-person project), I've had to admit that I will be unable to finish the game as it is, since it's a free fangame and I can't justify that with my current situation when I should be spending that time on other things. In addition, I used RPG Maker MV to make this, and to make it work the way I wanted to, purposefully layered & half-broke things to cobble them back together and use plug-ins; it's functional, but through playtesting came to my attention that (especially on browser builds) was becoming more and more laggy the deeper into the game it went, with no viable way to fix it in the engine and with the tools I had - not without starting over from the ground up.

Sadly, we all have to hustle to make ends meet, and in the end I've come a long way since even finishing the art for it (a year ago from posting this!), and I have to let this go if I want the chance to make cooler, better-structured things in the future.

However, the bones (badumtsh) exist, and with the support and work I put in (and well, well over a hundred hours of visual development), I wanted fans to be able to check out what pre-existed in playable format!

Thanks again, everyone, and I hope you like the peek into what the game would have looked/felt like to play.
