Cool
In 1957, Smiley Inc. opened the amusement park 'Smiley World'. The park was successful, at first, until the recession of 1958. From then on, the park struggled to make ends meet. The park would reuse parts, lack in safety, and work on strange ways to make visitors attend.
In 1981, after the opening of Mercury Land , the park became desperate. In 1983, the park released its newest initiative..."No Publicity is Bad Publicity."
On the night of October 31, 1983, a ride crashed, causing the deaths of five passengers.
Smiley Inc. blamed a "mechanical failure". However, some say that was only part of their newest initiative.
In 1986, three years after the crash, five more guests went missing during operating hours. They were never seen again.
On November 4, 'Smiley World' closed its doors. Leaving the park empty...abandoned.
Some say the park still operates, the rides still work, and the characters, such as 'Mr. Smiley', still laugh...late at night...
Some say the park isn't vacant at all...some say it's haunted.
Regardless, the park remains empty, vacant, and abandoned.
