While I get that this is your first game, I feel that it may have less effort thrown into it than is proclaimed. I'm not really sure what the story is supposed to be, or why I should be caring for any of the characters. I do find it funny, though, that a lot of things are basically satire-esque of standard RPG tropes (obligatory companions, obvious ploys, beating minions and bosses, etc... inclusive). I am a little stuck, too, while trying to get out of the "bad guy" 's maze/dungeon, when he has you fight the second boss round with the shark, assassin, and others all at once. The enemy is pretty OP compared to my party, who are all at level 5. I've even tried grinding a bit.
I will offer this as a bit of advice: RPG Maker MV, which is what this is obviously running in, has many, many useful plugins and assets; you would do well to make use of them. The most relevant contributer you could do with is Yanfly's Message Core plugin, so that you don't have to take up message lines with [Name:], and can instead have a little box above it with the name.

This isn't working very well. i mean, it's no working at all.
This is my first game. My very first game. I've put a lot of effort into making it but don't expect it to be perfect. It is about a man called Danny in a fictional world. He must overcome difficulties and make new friends to complete his goal!
