What do you think?

the controls suck

This was a good effort and I appreciate the idea! I love low poy calm "walking sim" sort of games and the overall aesthetic and music was great. Also the voice acting! Unfortunately, even using a gamepad, the controls were very floaty and unpredictable, along with the camera, and made movement frustrating to the point where I just stopped playing after ten minutes.

The design of the terrain made it difficult to tell where you should go, where you COULD go, and how you're supposed to get there. The height of my jumps weren't consistent. Not being able to touch water is fine except that the color scheme and transluscence of the water made it hard to tell at times what was shallow water and what was just lighter ground.

In general, I like what you tried to do here. It just needs more polish to tighten up the controls and clean up the environment so the paths are better mapped out. Still, good job with what you've got so far!

Hey, thanks for the interest! We're actually aware of the issue and have worked out a fix, just in time for tomorrow's Steam release.
Since we're a french indie company, our keyboards are AZERTY instead of QWERTY (we use ZQSD for WASD). Thankfully the controllers are universal (and you can use the arrow keys in the menu)
In the release, the game will detect your computer's language and switch to qwerty if it's english :)

I like the game so far but when i launch the game the mouse cursor is non existant which is not that bothersome but the only button to navigate is "s" to go down and enter. so i go down but not up or left and right. if you could fix this minor bug in the future that would be super cool

A Song in the void is a 3D platformer with low poly esthetics with a subjective view set in a world where everything is linked to the music. Lost on an alien planet, you are alone and represent the last best hope of a near extinct civilization.
With the power of music, you will terraform your surroundings so as to prepare a new home for your people.
You will collect musical spheres that are dispersed throughout five islands, and you must triumph against more than different challenges based on sound.
This musical platformer harks back to gameplay inspired from games such as Portal or Journey.
The creator of the game is an aficionado of Myst and wanted to bring back some of the nostalgia from this adventure game veteran.
Mysterious islands, story driven choices made by the player at the end of the game, and multiple challenges that can be done in different ways.

Here you can just find the demo, because the game 's release is planned for the 15 of march 2019.
