Battle Mines is a free empire building strategy mmo set in a whimsical post-apocalyptic environment. Players build cities, fire cannons, and vote in the senate to dominate the socio-political landscape. Trade, espionage, religion, everything is on the table and nothing is sacred in this tongue-in-cheek roller coaster of a real time social thrill ride.

The numbers involved in Battle Mines never get much larger than say, 20 or 30. Instead of relying on always scaling up numerically, it instead relies on introducing strategic elements and game mechanics to keep things interesting.

Unlike many MMOs, losing combat is not a particularly big deal. Another player will be your master for a while, but while slightly demeaning, the consequences are relatively minor. In fact, new players are actually much more powerful combatants than more advanced players, who rely on flexibility rather than brute force to advance their agenda.

Battle Mines can entertain for months or even years, as there is always a radically new goal to pursue, hour by hour and day by day. Interaction is completed in 5-10 minutes, once or twice per day. The game is able to incorporate the full spectrum of play styles from builders to battlers, socialites to recluses. All play alongside one another, creating their own unique environment.
