Hey Dev,
I gave it a go. I like the style, the gameplay is smooth and the controls feel nice. I think the grenade is a bit OP and the AI needs some work, but over all I had fun! Keep up the great work!

Really solid foundation for an ascending roguelike -

Throw in more modifiers, event rooms etc. and this could be a classic of the genre - great work Muz!

I've played this a few times and have some thoughts. Note that I'm probably much more sensitive to tiny details of FPS game feel (as well as performance/input response) than most people. It's my favorite genre.

Technical/QoL issues:

Performance is not great on my gaming PC.

Frame rate is uncapped in the main menu, so it runs at ~1000fps (not a big deal, but you might consider capping it).

Unresponsive mouse input in-game. This is partially a function of the game's frame rate, but I would guess mostly comes down to implementation (e.g. rotating a first person camera with the physics system).

High mouse sensitivity with no in-game scaling option.

No pause functionality and no way to restart or quit without dying first (unless I missed it).

Design:

You get barely any ammunition for the machine gun and tons for the grenade launcher. Seems an odd balance for a weapon that easy to use and powerful.

No cross hair.

Bugs:

Keyboard movement is not normalized, so diagonal movement is faster (assuming this is not intentional).

If you point straight down and fire a grenade, it will be instantiated under the floor.

Hope this is useful to you. I think this game has a lot of potential.
