holy shit i was NOT expecting a game this good and fun behind the name "Cat Invasion 2" - went it thinking it's some kind of a shitpost but it's actually a solid and fun rpg! nice job, MentalShibe (or Jason, if that's your real name, hahaha).
the locations are nice on the eye, the use of the waterfalls is quite genius, the cat battler sprites look great, Saluk's entire character is fucking awesome (he's my spirit animal with how much i love beer, too, HAHAHAHAHA), the humour is great once you get to the town (courtesy of Saluk, too), the british (although i have a slight suspicion that she's from cornwall) maid is also awesome, the cats are BRUTAL and they hit like a bitch (which also makes the battle system all more fun), i can understand why the people of Fabula think that they're evil incarnate - because they probably are! the puzzles are also pretty nice, i can see you're great with logic, Mental)
but there are some problems, too, that i would like to see fixed: the way that Niluc's and Saluk's portraits and the other npc's differ in style so much is quite bugging, would be nice if you could redraw the portraits of the other characters to fit Niluc's style, if that isn't too hard for you - that would add to the game's identity!) the way that all of the npc's dissapear after they look at Niluc looks very goofy - would be nice to at least make a fade-out, have them dissapear, and then fade in) while npc's moving at random in the town is good, sometime they can block off the entrances or the exits of buildings - i have two solutions for it, either make an individual path for all of the npc's or make multiple entrances to the places where guys like these are. and, finally, when reaching Mount Fabula - East Side and if you don't have Saluk then he still says his phrase. other than that, found no bugs or problems!
still though i'm kinda stuck at that stupid fucking kid in the forest, i have no idea what that runt wants me to do but i, personally? i'd want to give him a good punt to see how far this rapscallion will fly)
