Simple game of checkers made on the Unity engine. Runs well, but, like the others I believe it would be nice to have a single player.
It's a decent, yet simple game, but I kinda wish there was an option to play singleplayer.
This game was made in a few hours as a part of #30daydev challenge.
Click on a desired piece first and then on the destination field to move it.
Here are the rules:
Red moves first. Players then alternate moves.
Moves are allowed only on the dark squares. Pieces are limited to forward moves (toward the opponent).
A piece making a non-capturing move may move only one square.
A piece making a capturing move leaps over one of the opponent's pieces, landing in a straight diagonal line on the other side. Only one piece may be captured in a single jump; however, multiple jumps are allowed on a single turn.
When a piece is captured, it is removed from the board.
If a player is able to make a capture, it must be made. If more than one capture is available, the player is free to choose whichever he or she prefers.
The player must do all available captures with the piece he starts the move with.
When a piece reaches the furthest row from the player who controls that piece, it becomes a king.
Kings may move both forward and backward. They may combine jumps in several directions on the same turn.
A player wins the game when the opponent cannot make a move.
