What do you think?

Really really like this game.....!!! it's not trying to be anything other than what it is... it's great fun, simple enough to great involed with and just enough progression to keep it stimulating and addictive. There are many many pixel games but i find the design of this one bold, quirky and quite original. 5.1 stars rounded down to 5

All the parts are there for a great game, but as it is it's too easy and lacking in gameplay variety. I look forward to seeing what comes about in future iterations.

needs improvement, and lots of it. You're getting high ratings from people who like the pixel-lated style. The game is boring, its just a poorly designed galaga clone. You could literally just stay in the middle holding Z and you'll never die.

as ZeroIketskie said, EVERYTHING is pink. There is no reason for you not to add another color or at least another shade. Having everything the exact same color makes it confusing, and hard on the eyes.

I did like the animations and trippy mode, they were very creative, but that doesn't make up for the gameplay.

Another thing I REEEALLLY didn't like was the name. How can anyone like a game when they can't even remember its name?
"Yo Henry, did you play that new game irfhhgery56t7e?"
"What?"
"You know, the game gsduomgt457ygphg"

I would like to see some improvement in this game

...Well, I understand what the game description says, but...

I love pixely graphics, but graphics don't make a game, and this is an perfect example.
The gameplay seemed dull and basic.
The sprites didn't seem to be worked on much, I think I was shooting hearts with mouths or holes or something. Like i said, pixels are cool, but in this game's case, I'm not so sure. Everything is pink... Enemies, bullets, power ups, YOU... And that made the game confusing for me some-what. For example, when an enemy is destroyed, it blows up pink pixels. And it also SHOOTS pink pixels. So if it or another enemy shot at you before one of them died, than the bullet would seem like part of the explosion, and you end up getting hit. I don't like that.
Another tedious part of the game for me was the currency.
Ugh... I wouldn't even know that they were called HULL PARTS unless i went to "View", which isn't even very neccessary, because all it tells you is your current amount of hull parts and you weapon level. The game tells me how many hull parts I have on the docking screen and the continue screen, and I don't see what purpose knowing my weapon level holds, especially when there are only 3 upgrades, but whatever. And to think, in the amount of time that you took to make THAT feature, maybe you could have made something slightly more useful.
I shouldn't have to GRIND for money, but this game makes me, and the frustrating part... There is no way to know how much money you're gonna get, not hull part seems to have any exact value, so I was left just knowing that maybe I would get a small amount, maybe a decent one. And there aren't many enemies per wave-this forced me to go through quite a few waves to get that last upgrade. And repairs don't FULLY repair your ship.
As for glitches sometimes the waves completes even when you didn't kill all the enemies, and sometimes you just float there in space for a while after you kill all the enemies. I don't even know if th

Nicely done!

I especially liked the retro graphics, the pickup and play style, and the upgrade feature. What I'd like added is the ability to navigate the menu with the keyboard (switching back and forth between the mouse and keyboard is slightly annoying).

For a sequel, I'd like to see a wider variety of enemies, possibly a random boss stage here or there, and the addition of a separate shield gauge (lots of room to play with this last one, I'm thinking an upgradeable shield that soaks damage from projectiles, while the hull absorbs damage from collisions).

Hopefully you can survive this invasion…. Summary: Simple space shooter developed in just under 60 hours over the course of a little less than 3 days by one man. This game was developed as an entry to the first ever FlashPunk Game Competition.
