Dark Basement - a horror visual novel

Note: visual novel games are on purpose mostly non-interactive. If you are not familiar with how this type of games work, then you might be not satisfied with how Dark Basement plays. On top of that, this game is very short because it was mostly made during a 48h game jam.

Dark Basement is a #visualnovel game set in the #horror genre. It's a #short story, where the protagonist (you) finds himself in some kind of #basement and tries to escape.

The game is short, it should not take more than 5-10 minutes to finish on the first try. This is because originally this was supposed to be made according to the rules of Asylum Jam 2013, it was a game jam, that gave 48 hours to create a game. As we (the authors) were not certain that we manage, we didn't submit the game for the contest, after 48 hours we did have most of the game done (there is a tagged revision in the version control we use that indicates the status after 48 hours). Overall it took 3 months to get everything done.
