DTTA was made in 3 weeks with C++ (SDL2).

Inspired by Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, DTTA is a simple Roguelike with anti-intuitive mechanics and a interesting skill curve. The fun comes when you find a useful mechanic and exploit it till the end. This game was made with this in mind.

Why would you remove a bug when you could embrace it?

Your objective is to defeat the Final Boss of the Dungeon (very simplistic) at the 18th floor.

You choose between 5 playable races: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Dragonborn and Felid. Each one have it's own play style. I suggest Dwarf for newbies because they are very tanky and heal when Level Up.

There's 4 game modes: Default, Daily Seed, Slayer and +Potion.

  • Default is... uh... default.

  • Daily Seed is the default mode, but you play in the same dungeon. The dungeon changes every day.

  • Slayer turns the game into a more Hack'n Slash, raising your damage and increasing the spawn rate of the enemies.

  • +Potion makes all enemies drop Health Potions on death. An easy mode.

Core Controls:

  • WASD or Arrow Keys move your character and determine what direction you want to attack.

  • IOP are Bomb, Potion and Key respectively.

When the game opens up, it will open a CMD Prompt and the Game Screen. The Prompt have all information you need, but (just for fun) try playing the game without reading anything. Probably you will die very fast. After that, read ALL the text and try again.
