You've created a very interesting game, good sir, and you're a master of atmosphere. The way the lights on the ship light up the asteroids, the way even informational screens change when power goes out, the music that simultaneously carries emotions of loneliness, adventure, and mystery, all beautiful. The simple yet practical informational screens only give you what you need to know, and their style along with the design of the ship makes the player feel, without the need to tell them, that space travel is new in this game's universe. The rough look of the ship is reminiscent, to some degree, to early cars. It's no futuristic space minivan with the luxuries that come with technology that has existed for over a century. More directly, the ship looks like one of the deep sea vessels used to explore shipwrecks. This communicates a sense of the adventure and the feeling that anything could be beyond the next metaphorical corner. Everything in this game serves the feeling you tried to achieve. In that regard, it is truly a work of art.
The game runs very smoothly. Your commitment to realistic physics (conservation of momentum and whatnot) is refreshing, to say the least. The mechanic that allows collected material to escape the cargo hold is something I don't personally like, but it does add a lot to the game. One thing I believe should be changed is the ending screen. Though the rest of the game runs smoothly, the many light sources can cause lag on less powerful computers. I believe it would be best to instead pre-render the screen in all its detail rather than keeping it updating in real time.
You're don't a great job, my friend; keep it up. I hope to see more of your work in the future.
