nice game i like the concept, at first it was hard i didn't know the controls and the enemies were invisible but i really like it you should continue

A from-scratch 3D game in the spirit of the Build Engine series (A 3D game that uses 2D sprites for items and enemies). Features an original soundtrack in VGM format, emulated in realtime for your enjoyment!
This game was developed for a 3 month competition, and was begun late. So please excuse any rough edges if possible: I only worked on this for about sixty days.

=~INTRODUCTION~=
Welcome to the exciting and nostalgic world of Exile!
In this game, you don your armour, take up your sword and
fight alone against the armies of Chaos!
=~CONTROLS~=
W - Move forward
S - Move backward
A - Strafe Left
D - Strafe Right
F - Uses the currently selected inventory item.
Q,E - Cycle inventory left/right.
SPACE - Interaction key. Use this to open doors.
1,2,3 select your weapons. To use magic runes, select the staff (3), select the rune (Using Q and E) and fire away. I know this sucks, the entire magic system is being revamped at the moment.
A continuation of sorts is in development, named Exile: Darkhold. It features freeform levels (Room over room, bridges, etc), a better magic system and smarter enemies. I'll be uploading that sometime in the near future.

Some technical details:
Coded in C++, compiled with GCC 4.4.0 MINGW, partially ported to Linux, uses Blarg's Game Music Emulation library to play VGM files, comes with a level editor Made in Game Maker), uses a custom PAK style format, and uses SFML/OpenGL for rendering.
Time taken: Just under 3 months for everything.
