Amazingly good, really captures the spirit of early arcade games. Plus the soundtrack is phenomenal, I went and bought it! Anyway, I covered as part of my weekly Indie Freebies piece for Gaming Respawn: http://gamingrespawn.com/indie-game-spotlight/18430/indie-freebies-prime-mover-others/
Awesome job Ryan, just got threw my first game with 3 mil score :D now to try it with an actual controller!
Here's a video I made of your game:

I have three new games in production...
retro action RPG with playable on mobile and PC.
first person horror game in a spooky castle.
split screen arena shooter party game.
Which one would you like to see a demo of first?
I have a few more points to add that could be improved upon. On the lowest graphical setting, it is impossible to read the text for powerups, the text is really thick and bold. The 'start' menu could have and exit game button instead of having to press escape. It would also be nice if you could change the graphic settings, windowed mode, audio etc from here instead of having to change it to low and un ticking windowed mode every time you boot the game up. The fullscreen mode is a bit buggy when switching from windowed as my screen turns off several times for a second or two, then minimises the game and I have to open it up again.
Going back to the menus, it would be nice if, in game, you could press escape and have all the options there, as well as an 'exit to main menu' and 'quit game' options.
Explodious is a #retro arcade style top down shooter. It's my first attempt at making an indie game. You can help support my future games by purchasing the Soundtrack @ https://gridkiller808.bandcamp.com/album/explodious-soundtrack
