What do you think?

the potential is there

FIPTUBAT is a turn-based #tactics game done from a first-person #shooter perspective, inspired by Jagged Alliance 2 and Silent Storm. In most turn-based tactics games, the player commands remotely, with clicks on the map or enemy units used as an abstraction for radio commands to "Move to that pile of rubble" or "Attack that target".

In FIPTUBAT, the game is played from the perspective of the units on the ground themselves.

This is an advanced prototype - the mechanics are complete, but I am weighing up whether or not to add more levels.

Controls

The full controls will be displayed in the main menu. For the sake of convenience, they are posted here.

  • Use the mouse or arrow keys to rotate the current unit and aim.

  • Hold down right mouse to view possible positions; left click to set your destination.

  • Cycle units using Tab

  • End your turn using Backspace. If you have units moving, this will be rejected.

  • Crouch or stand up using C. This will cost action points.

  • Strafe by pressing WASD. This will cost action points.

  • Freeze or enable rotation by clicking left Ctrl. This is most useful for interactions with the UI layer.

  • Fire by clicking the left mouse button

  • Reload by pressing R

  • Cycle fire modes with Q
