Now a little bit of lore:
We are in a universe where BF defeated Whitty and took him to Updike because he realized that leaving him unsupervised was really dangerous.
Updike kills Whitty and hires BF and GF to hunt and destroy anomalies that invaded other universes.
In the full mod BF will fight 4 anomalies from destroyed worlds that met in this reality where GF & co. doesn't exist.
With time, BF learned to manifest his hidden power, activated when he was at the verge of death and costantly saved by GF (like in the game over screen) who will remain with him for the whole adventure...maybe.
