"Power-loss" bug fixed! - The problem was that the First Room spawns the Character and when he went back it activated his creation code which set his abilities variables to False.

Attack bug fixed I think - Every time you paused the game and resumed, an extra hitbox was spawned to you had two rather than one but in the same spot. That made the semi-transparent hitbox (that I thankfully left visible for no reason) darken and for some reason let him cancel like crazy.

Working on moving from room to room - For some reason your can end up going back to 0 when you go the room, or you'll run at walk speed, or stop.

I'll add screenshots soon.

I'm guessing that your main sprites were somewhat Cave Story inspired? I don't know I just kind of got the vibe while playing.

Anyways so far the game looks great really. I thought it played pretty well despite a few bugs including the controls menu crashing the game but leaving the music running after it closed.
I'd love to see some of the code for this cause I thought the character moved pretty well but found it odd that when going backwards through the game I lost my power ups inexplicably. So I'd be curious to why that is.

Again, so far it looks good, I'll make sure to keep an eye on it!

This is my main project at the moment, there really isn't much to it yet this is a VERY short beta. The actual name of it is undecided(maybe something like Genesis) so it'll be know as the Fusion Engine(dispite being technically not an engine.)This was originally based on the platforming in Metroid Fusion(hence the name) and is a planned Metroidvania game. I hope to make both a PC and Android version for the game (though I don't actually own an android phone so I rarely focus on it). Anyway the android version will come later because it is difficult to play and you can't reach the end.

The website has older (possibly more stable) versions of the game but this is the newest one.

When you get the game over screen(which probably doesn't work in 2P) G is restart game and H is end game

Controls:

Menu Start=Enter and WSAD movement and G to select somthing (Controls does not work at the moment but is selectable...just not a good idea.) Two Players does work

A or D: Walk (Arrows for P2)

DoubleTap A or D: Run (Arrows for P2)

G: Jump (Arrows for Numpad 1)

Walljump depends on setting

(Fusion[default]:G+Direction Away from wall)

(MMX:G+direction towards wall)

H: Attack(starts off with one attack but you get more on some pickups) (Numpad 2 for P2)

The 2xSword means you can combo two hits now which you can do by pressing H again after a certain frame or when the attack lands. The attack must land to combo in air.

The 3xSword means you get a three hit combo

The DJ Wings let you double jump.

You grab the FP Fire after beating the super basic boss. This grants you the aforementioned abillities plus the Launcher(W+H),HeavyAttack(S+H),Spike(S+H InAir)

Esc:Pause (there are some options but they don't work perfectly) You can change walljump style(note:there is a but where if you change walljump styles you can end up cancelng attacks whenever, not sure how it works)

All the sprites were done by me except the two backgrounds and some other things (I think Player 2 is set to be Sakura(SF) so I didn't make those)

The songs are midi versions of some song from a game called Cubivore(I like it personally), Virtual Insanity(Jamiroquai), I Can't Dance(Genesis), and if remember correctly B.Y.O.B.(System of A Down it may be the wrong song name)

I'll put up some credits another time. Please feel free to give feedback or ask questions...I kinda hope you didn't read All of this, its a bit much.
