"GENO"CIDE - A Super Mario RPG-themed Undertale Battle

Welcome to "GENO"CIDE.

What started as just a simple sprite for Geno being put in Smash as a Mii Gunner costume quickly turned into a battle that actually involves itself with the Super Mario RPG lore.

------------------ STORY ------------------

The story starts off right before SMRPG ends. More specifically, when Geno travels back to the Star Road. However, things don't go exactly to plan.

Mario decides to follow Geno to the Star Road to "reason with him" a little more before leaving. Unfortunately for Geno, Mario isn't actually going to reason with him in the way he thinks.

Mario realizes the power within Geno could help increase the power the Mushrooms have over the Mushroom Kingdom. And Mario, hungry for power to keep King Koopa away from the kingdom at any cost, decides to take matters in his own hands.

What Mario doesn't know, however, is that Geno was expecting something like this to happen eventually. So they duke it out to see who wins power.

QUESTION 1: What made you develop this overall?

ANSWER: As mentioned earlier, I started this project when Sephiroth had his Smash release date confirmed and Geno was put in as a Mii costume. It simply started as a sprite meme, so I didn't take it too seriously back then. However, as time progressed, I realized the true potential of this idea. So I got to work.

QUESTION 2: Why did you make a Phase 2?
ANSWER: I decided to make a Phase 2 fight because I felt that Phase 1 was too empty.

QUESTION 3: Why did you make a Hard Mode for Phase 2?!?!?!

ANSWER: Well, I wanted to experiment with my sprite skills and wanted to put them to more use.
