What do you think?

NARWALS

I have to agree with PuchinAdventure's review, I believe I stated a few of those things in the video I posted on YouTube (below). The delay was probably the biggest thing that I disliked, it made it extremely difficult to hit targets when they were running past. The only way to manage this delay was to fail a few times until you can adjust to it, however that doesn't make the game challenging... it just makes it an annoyance until you figure it out. Improving the shooting would go a long way to improving the game play, I see that as the only thing that seriously holds this game back.

Doesnt load for me.

Review

Overall: It's a good idea, needs improvement.

The grafics are nice: They are prenty of drawings and characters even though you oly had a limited amount of time, and that's pretty amazing. I'd love to see what the game would look like if you had more time.

The game mechanics: Easy to understand but difficult to use. The speed of the kids, the delay in between throwing and hitting, the fact that you only have a very short span of time to hit each kid: Those make the game way more difficult that I expected, and I did not like it. Maybe a bigger visible zone, improved shoot or something like that would solve those problems.

The difficulty kinda ruined it for me, but I did like it.

While you are watching TV you watch a commercial of the release of the most anticipated game of all time : "Ultra Awesome Game", you have to get it before it sells out, but there is a problem, you are taking care of your granny! How are you going to get the game without leaving your granny alone?... Unless...

Controls:

  • Aim with your mouse to throw yarn balls to the other kids and make them trip so they can't take your precious game copies.

This is our entry for the #ldjam 32.
