I tried this game last night and it was absolutely fantastic. The overall look flowed wonderfully, the sounds were crisp and clear and I found the gameplay nicely challenging. Took me 37 minutes to beat, including my own lack of common sense when making it around a few of the slimes. I will put up a video on my channel tomorrow and I will be sure to link your entry in the contest. Best of luck!
I haven't gotten very far, but I really like it! Great job!

Great Job on this. I can't wait for the Sequel. I think I was wrong with my initial reaction to the reason for her guilt and sadness. Thinking back, the bus, the road and stop sign where she passes out, all seemed like clues to the story that I didn't realize before.
A wonderful game with a deep yet ambiguous story that anyone can mean slightly different things to different people. I would only say that a longer game with a more story hints and a few more large threat chase scenes could make a longer game of the same good quality. I was holding back tears at the end. I have done two let's play videos on my channel featuring this wonderful game and would love to revisit an improved version.
Very nice! Definitely loved the Flashback/ Another World gameplay and it has great atmosphere. If you get a chance, please let me know what you think of my entry: gamejolt.com/games/orbital-drift/124780
PRESENTATION
Last year I made a RPG for IGMC 2014. It was really nice to make, but I wanted to do something a bit darker this time around. After thinking for a while, I decided GUILT would be my next project.
Made with Game Maker: Studio, GUILT focuses a lot on story and atmosphere. The gameplay is focused on stealth and has a bit of platforming in it.
STORY
GUILT tells the story of a woman lost in a dark forest. The atmosphere is heavy and there doesn't seem to be anything alive in it, but she has to go through it.
While exploring, strange things happen around her as she comes across things that shouldn't be in the middle of a forest.
Discover what's going on in this dark place, why she's here and try to lead her to a safer place.
GAMEPLAY
The main focus of GUILT is exploration. You'll have to walk your way through the forest, sometimes you'll need to jump, climb, ...
But something is in this place. Something follows the woman. She'll have to hide. She'll have to sneak through them. If they see her, then her only hope will be to run... But will that be enough?
CONTROLS
You can use your keyboard or a controller, it's up to you. All controls are customizable, make sure to change them in the main or pause menu if you don't like the defaults!
