hello the game is fun with friends as a concept, it hangs in this part while playing offline by myself, it is fixed by spamming the keys, I will be waiting for future updates

HECKTIC is a 1v1 2D platformer vertical slice that takes inspiration from the gameplay of Mario Vs. Luigi from New Super Mario Bros. It was also my final year university project.

Play as a colourful cast of characters as you run around the level looking for McGuffins, whoever gains the most first wins!

Steal McGuffins from your opponent by using a variety of powerups, or just by jumping on them! Enjoy a thrilling, constantly changing game of cat and mouse in HECKTIC!

INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED TO PLAY THE GAME!

MAXIMUM 2 PLAYERS PER ROOM

Please note that the Mac OS and Linux builds are largely untested and may contain additional bugs and issues that aren't present in the Windows build.

CONTROLS:

Arrow Keys/D-pad/Left stick: Movement

Z/South button: Jump

Left Shift/West button: Run

X/East button: Use powerup
