The curve is a bit steep and the music rots your nerves its not a bad game not great by any means. I prefer my games to end but regardless. I give it a 4.
Oh my god, this game could out do Pokemon Red, Super Mario Land, and Tetris if this was on the gameboy for reals. Awesome game.

I decided to make Hold Off Red into a nice little GameBoy Game. There are only a couple cases where I've broken the specs of emulating one, too:
-Enemy Sprites and Bullets rotate instead of adding new images
-Didn't follow the maximum of 10 sprites per scanline spec
If enough people like this demake, then I'll consider polishing it up a lot and include those fixes, and create a more emulator-esque environment, and include green screen graphics (result of non-backlit GameBoy).
