The game crashed! :O
Very amusing game though :) Too few levels :p
Some of the blue fish annoyed me... Too many of them are too clever... I like how yo can stun them :D
I noticed that some of the fishes is lighting. I though I should use this to tell what kind of fish it was.
Overall a really good game, but I guess an explanation now and then would hurt...
Almost perfect game IMHO :D
I really like fl0w game type :D
1) i agree with Karmington, first stage must give player idea what he/she can do, so maybe something to eat it's a good idea,
2) long description can bother casual player, keep this in mind,
3) i've played only three stage, but the game so far seems to have onlye one "skin" (a set of colours), do you think to add new type of "skins" to your game?
4) some level-selection menu ?
Hey Karmington and thanks for the great critism :-)
1) Yeah, can't argue against that. Just to make things clear: It does REPLACE the attract upgrade effect.
2) This is the part that made sure i never got to love this game 100%. The game has no story, no real goal and such. I never really came up with a solution though. Pointing out the number of levels, should've been obvious to me, thanks for suggesting it.
3) I agree, it is a risky move, and might put a player off. But that being said, if you can't wait for it, you probably wouldn't like the game either. That being said, it is a long search, i will try to look into it :-)
I will see if i can implement some of your ideas and critism soon.
Again great thanks for the comments. :-)
It's meditative, well built, but a couple of things bugged me.
1) the 'attracting light' skill being coupled with the speed burst makes me feel confused as to which one I'm activating. I guess it's both but the feedback isn't strong enough.
2) It takes a long time to play, so either being able to choose level or being told 'there are 10 levels' clearly would be really really nice. ( of course one can count them from the upgrades but duuh im a bit sloow'
3) In the first level it can take quite a while to find the first edible nugget. This may be part of the charm, but it's a risky choice... On the other hand the player is forced to really look hard at the screen and wonder 'where the hell is my food?'
Guide your Hydro Hydra through the many stages and evolve into the mightiest sea creature of them all. You'll encounter both hostile creatures aswell as prey on your journey.
