Why does the rainbow in the window timer suddenly start ticking down at lightning speed, completely ignoring my mouse hovering over it? Like, if I don't hover over it for a long time, that's when it happens?

a game i challenged my self to make in a week or less cuz its mecanics are so simple i knew i could remake it really quickly(at least first version, remade update took a day, chip update took like 2 months), this isent meant to replace the original at all, it is just made for fun to challenge my self
