join little man in this atari-styled game on a little adventure to discover just a little more about their little world, and finally find out where their little son went after disappearing just a little while ago. as little man, push and pull little puzzle elements, platform a little, and avoid little enemies to complete each little level.

a little man with a big heart. or maybe a little woman? i dunno. with little man, use your environment to solve puzzles and fight off danger by pushing and pulling objects to rescue your son! maybe you'll have a little fun while you're at it, yeah?

oh! they also really love hot dogs. try to find one in each level within a box for extra points!

what was his name again? steven? stephen? maybe todd? nobody knows, but he needs our help! he's been locked inside one of the few boxes in each stage, and it's up to us to set him free and take him home.

misfortune

it's little man! i think? wait, wait, something's wrong. what's with this thing? it just shambles around aimlessly... looks like you should keep your distance. use your environment by pushing boxes or rocks over it to smash to bits, or push it with those items into a sawblade! then, maybe it won't bother you anymore.

the huntsman

no matter where you go or what you do, this menace is almost guaranteed to catch and tko you if unleashed from its box. not fair! how was i supposed to know which shaking box was the right one? maybe there's a few details you're not noticing...

eh, if anything, you might get lucky enough to find an opening to kill it with, and then you'll be rewarded with copious amounts of points!

haunt

enemies have souls, too! the blue haunt demonstrates that, as each enemy's spirits will rise and disappear peacefully upon being killed. however, little man can't rest easy yet. after taking too long in a stage, a red haunt will come and attack little man, following them through walls just to get a bite out of them! as a spirit, haunts don't have brains, and are thus hopelessly stupid. lure a red haunt into a trap to end its reign of terror!

stupid, rotten sky rat! stop taking my son every time i find him! mark my words, i'll catch you one day, and it'll be then i decide that it's hunting season! just you wait and see.

q: "what genre is little man?"

a: 2d puzzle platformer with unpredictable and difficult gameplay similar to that of classic quarter-munching arcade cabinets. :^)

q: "how long is little man's play time? how hard is it?"

a: it's all dependent on luck and skill, so it can range from incredibly short to excruciatingly long. be prepared for tight jumps & either really lucky goal placement or a hopelessly confusing level.

q: so little man is free as of now, but will it always be free?

a: more than likely it'll always be straight-up free, and if not then it's "pay what you want", but it would be mega cute if it were for 25 cents like an arcade cabinet. :)

a: little letters for a little man.

q: "why does little man exist and how were they created"

a: i made an atari purple guy sprite for funnies and squished it to death and everyone loved it right away, so it became its own character. they even received their own color, as originally they was purple.

q: "you keep using 'they/them' to describe little man, but use pronouns for their son. isn't little man a man?"

a: little man, despite their name, is actually androgynous, meaning they can be whatever you see them as.
