The year is 5000. Panic is spread among citizens of Cybernetika due to the Y5K bug, a bug which makes computers vunerable to hackers and viruses due to the victim's computer switching back the calendar to the year 2000 as PCs cannot handle years that exceed 4999. Welcome, to Malware.Life.Bacteria5.

BCIs or brain computer interfaces are installed into everybody's skulls as part of a government requirement of the Data Enforcement Act of 4057. Older models of these BCIs called "Cybernetika BCI Mk 1" can only count to 4999 in the calendar making them vunerable to malware. BCIs are most likely to become infected meaning people can become brain dead due to viruses infecting the brain. (currently unfinished, tbc)
