Martris - Play the new Tetris-clone for Windows by Martin Allen (martin2k). Maneuver the randomly sized pieces as they fall to create horizontal lines. The more lines you achieve, the faster the game gets! Set the game's width and height and the number of blocks per piece before playing. You can also customise the colour of background. Try to beat your previous high scores!
Pieces can be made up of 1 to 8 blocks arranged randomly. On random blocks mode, pieces made up of 1 to 8 blocks are generated, but 1 to 4 blocks are more likely to be seen. The more lines you get, the faster the pieces will fall - level 20 onwards is quite a challenge!
Create your own block patterns by adding 32x32 pixel bitmaps into your Martris folder and customise the sounds (two at present) by replacing the .wav files with your own. The controls are as follows:
A: Left;
S: Down;
D: Right;
[: Rotate left;
]: Rotate right;
F2: New game;
Ctrl+P: Pause
