What do you think?

This was surprisingly challenging, it felt difficult to avoid all the obstacles for very long. It was also hard to coordinate movement with changing color, for some reason! I might have found it more intuitive if the z and x were arrow keys instead.

that sad, I like the game concept a lot. The graphics are very nice too, very pleasant palette choice.

Really cute game and fun concept! The music is great too. The controls took a bit to get used to, perhaps arrow keys would make this more intuitive. Hope you work on it more because it's great so far. =D

Super cute graphics! I included it in part 16 of my GameBoy Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/LuWm9SYT1pI

In regards to the gems, you could prevent them appearing in pairs both by doing a collision check and making them move at the same speed.

I really loved the character design. A potato wizard? Brilliant!

I think what could be improved is the player's hitbox. I feel like I should've evaded some of the sprites which were registered as hit. In such a small area to move about in, near misses are very important.

Because a lot of the gems came in twos - both red and black at the same time, I didn't have much incentive to switch colour. Instead I just stayed one colour and avoided the other.

Help Mellow, the Potato Wizard, capture as many gems as possible! Are you up for the challenge? ##gbjam3 :D
