"Motion Columns" is a Columns-style match-3 game with a slightly different logic: instead of matching diamonds that share the same color, the player must match diamonds that share the same movement pattern.
Forget the colors, forget the shapes, just focus on the movement. The game may feel unplayable at first, as it is very hard to keep track of several movements at the same time, but it is actually not impossible, although very challenging and quite exhausting. An advice: the way human sight works, the center of the retina percieves the forms and the contour percieves the motion. It is much easier to find groups of similar moving diamonds when not looking directly at them.
This game is an entry for the "Cheap Clone" Experimental Gameplay Challenge.
It is also my fifth game under my "Recycling Games" project, this time entirely made out of classic clipart engravings.
