The choice system is way too binary for my taste. It's probably part of the joke, but in the end it feels like reading a short story rather than playing a game.
The idea is interesting though.

Interesting story. It kind of reminds me of people who transition. The story was really great, and I didn't even notice it was for the #femalelinkjam until I got to the part where he stepped in the machine. It's a sad, sad story and it something I will turn in my mind for a while.
