Nice game. No power ups appeared until my 5th playthrough, where they appeared even on level 1. Still not sure what they did.

The instadeath gets frustrating though - have you considered adding a health stat (whether it's internal/hidden, or displayed as a bar) so that it is a little bit more forgiving?

i have a humble opinion.

you should make splash screen skippable, and also speed up transition screens animation - 2 seconds for that is toooooo long.

other than that - great game, congrats.
